Bacolod will always be home.

This city raised my three children and cradled some of the most beautiful years of my life. The skyline may be changing, traffic growing, and cafés popping up left and right—but the soul of Bacolod? That sweet, comforting warmth? It’s still here. And so is my heart.

My recent stay in Bacolod wasn’t a vacation. It was a return to purpose.

I began by fellowshipping with the Bethany Women’s Group—a ministry close to my heart. We visited widows, prayed together, shared meals, and reminded each other of God’s presence in seasons of loss and strength. I, too, being a widow, this ministry continues to pour into me, filling spaces only faith and fellowship can reach. Truly, God works through community.

I also made precious time for old friends and the Aledron Family, who are more than relatives —they are anchors. We laughed, we reminisced, and we created new memories in a place already overflowing with them. Bacolod witnessed my prime—school runs, career milestones, birthdays, heartbreaks, breakthroughs. Being back reminds me of who I was, and who I’m still becoming.

And then there’s Avon.

You simply can’t tell my story without it. Avon gave me a platform to grow, lead, and empower women—long before anyone said “boss babe.” The women who now run the ship in my absence? They are champions. Every time I’m in town, I carve out time for them—not just for business, but to remind them that they matter, that we built something lasting, and that I’m always rooting for them.

Another highlight every time I’m in Bacolod is my live Kapanimalay Mo radio ministry. This platform has been a beautiful gift from God—a space where I get to share His goodness, offer encouragement, and lift up praise through heartfelt conversations over the airwaves. While I try to keep it going even when I’m away, nothing compares to being live in the studio, right here at home, connecting directly with listeners in real time. It always lifts my spirit up.

Bacolod is no longer my everyday these days —but it will always be my always.

This chapter of my wellbeing journey is about honouring the past, fueling the present, and staying connected to the people and places that shaped me.

Because no matter where life takes us, we all need a place that keeps us grounded.

And for me, that place is Bacolod.

Until the next sweet smile. 💛 The adventure continues...
