A Celebration of Joy, Faith, and Family

Our little Axe - our Baxoy (and his Grammie's wasay🪓) - turned three!!!

And oh, what a celebration it was!

Filipino parties are known for their lavish table spread, but for us, it’s never just about the feast - it’s about praise. Praise for life. Praise for family. Praise for a God who continues to bless us beyond what we can imagine.

Because truly, we could not have done this on our own.

From Tita Sharon, Tito Boyet, and family who once again prepared a feast fit for a king...

to Tita Sheila’s beautiful cake that became the centrepiece of joy...

Every detail was carried by love. We are surrounded by a village, by a church, by people who show up, and that is a blessing we will never take for granted.

We started with a simple human bingo... but it became something more. Kids, parents, titas, lolos, nanas… all moving, laughing, connecting. Because we believe in intergenerational magic - that our children should grow up knowing they are deeply rooted in a community that cheers them on.

Then came the singing, the candles, the moment. And Baxoy... now old enough to truly feel it - all smiles, all wonder. It was magic.

Then we ate. Of course, we ate. And it was amazing.

We went around taking photos, capturing not just faces but evidence that it truly takes a village to raise a child in the way God intends.

And just when we thought it couldn’t get better, Baxoy took the stage. Music in his bones, joy in his voice singing “Country Roads” before he can even form full sentences. And the room? Completely his.

Games, laughter, choir and a final offering of praise.

Three years in, and already, a life full of song.

And if this day tells us anything it’s this...

We are not raising a child alone.

We are raising him in love, in faith, and in community.

And that… is the greatest gift of all. 💛
